Construction Manager – Hydrogen Ready Thermal Power Plant 

 

Construction Manager sought to oversee delivery of a H2 Ready Thermal Power Plant with co-located Battery Energy Storage. You will take full responsibility and accountability for the safe and timely delivery and coordination of site construction, installation, test and commissioning elements and associated activities for this project and future project sites.

 

Location: East of London is the ideal base location. Around South-East England / M25 corridor also convenient for the project site.

The ideal Construction Manager will have a background overseeing the delivery of Energy or Power projects (Thermal Power, Waste-to-energy, BESS, Hydro, Biomass CHP, LNG Terminals, O&G or broader T&D – examples). He or She will work closely with the Snr Project Manager and will report to the Project Director for non-project specific line management.
 

Construction Manager main responsibilities;

  • Driving site activity and co-ordinating multi-disciplinary construction work
  • Liaising with senior management and stakeholders on progress
  • Managing sub-contractors effectively
  • Chairing site meetings
  • Overcoming design issues/ effective-problem solving
  • Providing technical input throughout the process

 

Construction Manager Key Requirements;

 

  • Strong leader experienced in Construction management / Site management for related Energy or Power projects
  • Previous experience overseeing EPC, ICP and DNO counterparties
  • Commercially Astute
  • Previous Management experience of a team of sub-contractors and third parties
  • Experience on sites with values north of £10m (£50m + preferred)
  • IOSH Managing Safety / First Aid
  • Lock Out Tag Out Management (Electrical &/or GAS)
  • Good working knowledge of construction management processes and techniques
  • Previous roles; Construction Director, Construction Manager, Senior Construction Manager, Site Manager
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate those around you
