Key Responsibilities:
Contract & Risk Management:
Lead commercial and contractual negotiations across the full project lifecycle — from development through to construction and operations.
Manage the administration of key project contracts, including EPC, O&M, and grid connection agreements.
Ensure robust risk management procedures are in place to protect commercial interests.
Provide contractual and commercial support to internal teams throughout project delivery.
Cost & Financial Oversight:
Own the cost tracking and reporting process for capital projects, ensuring alignment with budgets and forecasts.
Manage change control processes and evaluate the commercial impact of variations.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling activities in collaboration with finance and development teams.
Procurement & Supply Chain Support:
Collaborate closely with procurement and technical teams to evaluate supplier bids, negotiate terms, and secure best value.
Ensure supplier compliance with contractual obligations, project milestones, and commercial KPIs.
Oversee contract execution and close-out processes across multiple workstreams.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as a key commercial point of contact for project stakeholders, joint venture partners, legal advisors, and consultants.
Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and commercial updates to senior leadership.
Requirements:
Minimum 5–7 years of commercial management experience within energy, utilities, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g. NEC, FIDIC, bespoke EPC), including negotiation and contract administration.
Experience working on high-value capital projects with complex stakeholder environments.
Excellent commercial acumen, with proven ability to manage cost, risk, and value throughout project delivery.
Confident communicator and collaborator with the ability to influence at all levels.
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering, Law, or similar; MRICS or similar professional qualification is desirable.
