Business Development Manager – Emerging Energy Segments (Energy Storage) Independent Power Producer (IPP)
Business Development Manager sought by Global Independent Power Producer who specialise in the complete management of solar, wind and battery assets for the generation and storage of electricity. As a market leader within traditional renewables (+2.5GW operational portfolio), they are looking for a Business Development Manager for its Unit that looks for new energy business models (storage, VPP, hydrogen, amongst others).
You will be based at their HQ in Madrid, so will benefit from coming into an established team and office, within a newly created role. As part of the Business Development team and reporting to the Head of Department, you will be accountable for identifying new business opportunities and bringing those to fruition, predominantly within energy storage.
Business Development Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and analyse new business opportunities
- Liaise with different stakeholders to ensure project requirements/needs are well identified
- Create a business case of the projects/opportunities identified
- Work together with the BD team to ensure alignment along the project execution
- Negotiate with stakeholders (landowners, sub-contractors, etc.)
- Build strong working relationships (both internally and externally)
Business Development Manager Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline
- 5+ years experience in project development
- Experience in Battery Energy Storage highly valued
- Advanced level of English (written and oral)
