They are seeking a mid-senior level Asset Manager to join the business, where you'll drive portfolio performance and asset management, improve their data analytics and reporting, stakeholder management, and have a core focus on commercial and contract management. The role still requires a solid technical background, but has a lot of commercial weight (less so on finance, more contractual elements).

Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio performance & asset management

  • Own asset/portfolio performance routines: KPIs, availability, outages, root-cause follow-up and continuous improvement plans
  • Coordinate inputs across OEMs, O&M providers, grid/market-facing counterparts and internal SMEs to ensure issues are resolved and learnings embedded
  • Provide budgeting/forecasting inputs for opex and lifecycle activities; track performance versus plan

Commercial & contract management (core focus)

  • Manage key operational contracts and obligations (O&M, warranties, service agreements, insurance interfaces, compliance deliverables)
  • Run supplier governance: service reviews, performance scoring, claims, variations and improvement plans
  • Support procurement and re-tender activity where relevant, ensuring commercial protections and long-term performance outcomes remain strong

Data, analytics & reporting uplift

  • Help deliver a pragmatic asset management reporting toolset (KPIs, automated packs, dashboards, “single source of truth”)
  • Translate operational data into actionable insight (performance drivers, exception reporting, trend analysis and early warnings)
  • Work closely with internal data/analytics resources and/or specialist consultants to deliver tooling upgrades; then help maintain and improve the solution post-implementation
  • Produce investor-ready outputs: concise narratives, strong visuals and recommendations (not just data dumps)

Stakeholder management

  • Build strong relationships across both internally and externally.
  • Represent Asset Management in cross-functional forums; maintain alignment across teams and avoid duplicated or parallel workstreams
  • Support future growth initiatives (new markets, new technologies) by developing scalable processes and repeatable reporting

Asset onboarding & transition into operations

  • Supporting the operational readiness workstream for new assets, ensuring a structured transition from project delivery into BAU operations
  • Partner closely with Project Delivery / Construction / Commissioning teams to define and execute handover requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Coordinate internal and external counterparties (OEMs, O&M providers, insurers, compliance bodies and other stakeholders) to ensure assets enter operations in a controlled, audit-ready way
  • Ensure operational contracts, KPIs, reporting packs and supplier governance are in place from day one

Governance, risk & compliance

  • Maintain strong operational governance: risk registers, compliance tracking, insurance notifications and audit-ready documentation
  • Promote high HSEQ standards through effective contractor management and adherence to site and company policies

Requirements:

  • Experience in asset management / operations management within energy or infrastructure (storage, thermal/flexible generation, renewables, utilities, industrials, etc.)
  • Strong commercial judgement and contract management capability (supplier governance, obligations, claims, service-level performance)
  • Experience supporting new asset onboarding / handover (operational readiness, transition from delivery to BAU)
  • Data-literate: comfortable shaping dashboards and packs and working with analysts/engineers to turn raw data into decisions (Power BI or similar strongly preferred)
  • Clear communicator (written and verbal) with the ability to produce stakeholder-ready outputs
  • Practical, delivery-oriented mindset; comfortable working closely with a team in the office environment
