Trading Analyst - Independent Power Producer
Trading Analyst sought by market leading IPP to manage the trading strategy to optimise revenues from our client’s portfolio of flexible energy infrastructure assets in BESS, gas peaking, hydrogen and pumped storage hydro.
While working closely with the Quantitative Analytics team and Physical Asset Management team, you will monitor market developments to make form decisions on pricing and operational strategy, while simultaneously looking at the business case for the delivery of new ancillary services and the development of future assets. You will gain exposure to the full project lifecycle.
Trading Analyst Key Requirements and Responsibilities:
-2+ years’ experience in policy / market / energy analyst role
- Knowledge of UK energy markets
- Market analysis / strategy development
- Knowledge of energy trading desirable
- Market reporting capabilities
- Commercial analysis
- Bid preparation
- Contract administration
- Financial analysis – ability to review financial reporting and settlement information
- Understanding of asset management
- Ability to track market developments
- Ad-hoc project work
