Role - QSHE Officer
Location - Qatar
Mint Selection are partnered with a leading Offshore contractor who are seeking a QSHE Officer to join them on a project in Qatar starting on the 18th April 2025.
Scope of work:
QHSE Oversight & Compliance
Oversee project QHSE reporting, key performance indicators (KPIs), and communications with project management and vessel teams.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and industry best practices.
Investigate incidents and non-conformities, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.
Conduct HSE inspections on-site and onboard vessels, ensuring findings are reported, communicated, and followed up on.
Project Support & Implementation
Provide support to the project team on all QHSE-related matters.
Ensure personnel utilize the latest versions of PQMP, PHSEMP, ITP, MST, RA, and other relevant documentation.
Engage supervisors and the workforce to actively participate in HSE initiatives and campaigns.
Participate in meetings and toolbox talks onboard and on-site to reinforce safety culture.
Performance Monitoring & Risk Management
Track safety performance and ensure adherence to QHSE standards and company policies.
Monitor and analyse risk assessments, ensuring mitigation measures are effectively implemented.
Manage SHOC cards onboard and on-site to enhance safety awareness and reporting.
Industry Awareness & Compliance
Stay informed about industry advancements, regulatory updates, and new technologies in QHSE management.
Provide insights to support business decision-making and continuous improvement in QHSE strategies.
Experience to be considered:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
OR MSc in Safety Engineering with Prevention Advisor Level 1 certification.
At least 3 years of experience in a QHSE role within offshore projects.
Strong knowledge of QHSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
Experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety compliance.
Proficiency in MS Office and QHSE reporting tools.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with experience liaising with project managers, vessel teams, and workforce personnel.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic offshore environment.
Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
Right to work in the designated project locations is essential.
