In this role you will own the full suite of project controls—cost, schedule, risk, reporting, governance—and ensure robust, data-driven oversight across development and construction phases. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, brings strong analytical capability, and is comfortable operating at both strategic and detailed levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of project controls frameworks across multiple flexible generation projects.

  • Manage project planning and scheduling, ensuring timelines are realistic, achievable, and aligned with portfolio objectives.

  • Oversee cost control, forecasting, and budget management, delivering clear insight on financial performance.

  • Implement rigorous risk and opportunity management processes with proactive mitigation strategies.

  • Produce high‑quality monthly reports, dashboards, and executive performance summaries.

  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, commercial teams, and external partners to ensure consistent delivery standards.

  • Support governance processes, including gate reviews, investment approvals, and change control.

  • Establish best practices and continuously improve tools, procedures, and reporting methods.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in project controls within energy, infrastructure, utilities, or other complex capital project environments.

  • Strong understanding of flexible generation, gas peakers, battery storage, or wider power-generation assets (desirable).

  • Advanced skills in planning and cost tools such as Primavera P6, Power BI, MS Project, or similar.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

  • Highly analytical, detail‑oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.
