We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager on behalf of an Independent Power Producer to drive the commercial success of multi-million-pound renewable energy projects. This role will lead end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring cost-effective, high-quality delivery while aligning with our client’s ambitious sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all procurement activities, from strategic sourcing to contract execution, for renewable energy projects.
Negotiate high-value contracts and build robust supplier relationships to optimize costs and quality.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams to align procurement with project timelines and technical specifications.
Oversee procurement budgets, deliver accurate cost forecasts, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Ensure procurement strategies support net-zero objectives and comply with industry regulations.
Person Specification:
5+ years of procurement experience in energy, construction, or engineering sectors.
Strong track record in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite for cost analysis and reporting.
Passion for sustainability and excellent commercial acumen.
Familiarity with NEC or JCT contracts and MEP systems is advantageous but not essential.
Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
