Head of Business Development - Port Decarbonisation Lead

 

Have you got a background working in maritime shipping and port infrastructure? Do you have an interest in the decarbonisation and future of this sector? 

 

Our client sits at the heart of a consortium of companies whereby they are involved in the provision of end-to-end net zero solutions for transport operations and authorities. They do this through a mobility as a service offering covering the decarbonisation of Shipping, Bus, Coach, Train, HGV and Last-Mile delivery. 

 

We are looking for somebody who will lead all activity in ports and related maritime infrastructure for the business. The successful Port Decarbonisation Lead will have a good understanding of maritime shipping and port infrastructure markets, have a proven experience of working with relevant clients, and have a vested interest in the decarbonisation of the sector. 

 

Working with the senior management team, you will be able to manage the day to day aspects of the business development processes within the ports side of the business from origination to contract closure. 

 

Head of Business Development - Port Decarbonisation Lead Responsibilities:

  • Managing the go-to-market strategy specifically for the Port communities. 

  • Working closely with Port Operators, Local Authorities and other interested parties to understand the market drivers and opportunities for decarbonisation within Ports.

  • Participate and contribute to weekly meetings, sharing knowledge by coordinating and entering information into knowledge management databases

Head of Business Development - Port Decarbonisation Lead Ideal Experience:

  • Experience in and understanding of the Maritime, Shipping, or Port Infrastructure industries.

  • Track record in Business Development or Commercial Management - managing customer journeys.

  • Drive and entrepreneurial spirit to grow a business with a global focus.

  • Passionate about opportunities emerging in the Energy Transition, and the decarbonisation of Ports.

  • Maintaining positive and trust-based relations with business partners, shareholders, and authorities.
