Financial Controller – Green Hydrogen Integrator
Financial Controller sought by Clean Energy Platform working at the forefront of Green Hydrogen activities in the UK.
The successful Financial Controller will join a company that's backed by private equity and part of wider consortium of interconnected companies in the Hydrogen space. Reporting into an experienced CFO and overseeing an accounts assistant / Bookkeeper, you will oversee day-day accounts management, cash flow forecasting, reporting and support on aspects of FP&A. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to support corporate finance activities and investment analysis on a project-by-project basis. As the company continues to grow, you will have the opportunity to transition into a Finance Director.
Financial Controller - Key responsibilities:
- Ensure that core financial processes are carried out efficiently with full use of systems to the standards of a professional company
- Responsible for the provision of monthly management accounts to the senior management team and Board
- Management of a bookkeeper
- Support group cash flow with accurate forecasting
- Company secretarial activities
- Support the annual budget process and within-year forecasts, working closely with relevant teams to ensure that risks to delivery of targets are identified early and that budgetary controls are robust
- Work with projects team to ensure that capital expenditure is controlled and early identification of risks
- Provision of information to lenders to meet requirements of loan agreements
- Management of outsourced payroll for rapidly growing team
Ideal Financial Controller:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA - qualified or at an advanced stage
- Commercially minded
- Professional and able to work with key stakeholders
- Advanced Excel skills / High Numeracy
- IT Literacy and communication skills
