Commercial Analyst - Independent Power Producer
Commercial Analyst sought by leading Power & Renewables IPP. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Operations and Policy Director, you will support the commercial operations across the client’s portfolio, including supporting on policy & regulatory developments, market analysis, strategy, commercial analysis, bid preparation, and contract administration.
Operating one of Europe’s largest Battery Energy Storage portfolios, coupled with a multi-GW development pipeline of Batteries, Fast-Response Peaking Plants and Hydrogen Electrolysis, you will be kept busy monitoring market developments in UK Grid Services whilst simultaneously forming opinions on investment case development for emerging opportunities in Green Hydrogen and other potential power sources.
Commercial Analyst Key Requirements and Responsibilities:
-2+ years’ experience in policy / market / energy analyst role
- Knowledge of UK energy markets
- Market analysis / strategy development
- Knowledge of energy trading desirable
- Market reporting capabilities
- Commercial analysis
- Bid preparation
- Contract administration
- Financial analysis – ability to review financial reporting and settlement information
- Understanding of asset management
- Ability to track market developments
- Ad-hoc project work
