Commercial Analyst – Green Hydrogen Development Platform
Commercial Analyst sought by a fast-growth Independent Power Producer (IPP) in the rapidly emerging hydrogen sector. Sitting at the heart of a consortium of companies in this space, this developer, owner, and operator is scaling one of the largest green hydrogen pipelines in the UK.
Joining at an early stage, you would work closely with the senior leadership and support a broad range of activities across the business including, commercial strategy, financial & technical analysis, business development, and financing.
Commercial Analyst Key Requirements
- Engineering degree strongly preferred
- Strong commercial acumen
- 2+ years’ experience in energy market analysis, with demonstrable experience in the hydrogen industry or hydrogen-adjacent industries
- Strong understanding of the hydrogen policy landscape and its importance in influencing the penetration of green or low-carbon hydrogen
Commercial Analyst Key Responsibilities
- Staying abreast of evolving hydrogen policy and market developments – quantifying the impact through analysis and providing an opinion on its significance
- Analysing, evaluating, monitoring and reporting of all business activities (e.g. asset costs and revenues)
- Undertaking market analysis (e.g. competitor analysis, asset benchmarking) to inform on commercial strategy
- Developing predictive financial models to evaluate investment opportunities in hydrogen projects
- Supporting the Business Development and Sales team
- Supporting the Development and Engineering team
