Asset Manager – Global Energy Transition Investment Manager

Our client, a US based Investor, have been rapidly expanding their presence in Europe and are looking to appoint an Asset Manager to oversee a growing portfolio of flexibility assets (gas peakers & battery storage).

As Asset manager, you will support the project delivery function and take over responsibilities from pre-agreed milestones. Delivering initiatives for value creation, optimising operational performance, and managing the day-to-day operation directly and via third parties.

With significant capital to deploy, in time will be the opportunity to grow and lead a team for grid/flexibility related assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the identification and implementation of strategies for further optimization, both operational and commercial.
  • O&M contractor management, including regular update meetings and performance data reconciliation.
  • Supporting onboarding of new assets to your portfolio, including documentation, and ensuring that other internal stakeholders receive necessary information and deliverables.
  • Commercial lead including dispute resolution, contract negotiation, budget negotiation, and business development/origination.

Ideal Asset Manager:

  • Experience from Energy Storage, Fast Response, Thermal or Renewable Generation
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with Asset Management or Portfolio Management
  • Technical or Commercial Background
  • Prior experience as an asset P&L owner
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP project accounting, financial controls, and budget development

London based. Strong remuneration potential.
