Senior Asset ManagerEnergy Storage Independent Power Producer (IPP)

 

Senior Asset Manager sought by Global Independent Power Producer establishing their London office. As a market leader within traditional renewables (+2.5GW operational portfolio), our client have been slowly building an asset base in the UK, primarily within Battery Energy Storage. They are now looking to establish this key European office to further effectively manage and develop their portfolio.

 

Initially the London office will be formed of a lean team covering Asset Management, Commercial Analysis and Project / Business Development. You will be responsible for establishing the UK asset management operations, taking responsibility from HQ and supporting the DD workstreams on new asset investments / acquisitions. As its a new office and a small team, there is potential for a broader scope of responsibility for this role.

 

As the UK is at the forefront of the Energy Storage market, you will likely become more involved in European expansion as they look to grow their Battery and Hydrogen portfolio across the continent.

 

Senior Asset Manager Key Responsibilities:

- O&M contractor management, including regular update meetings and performance data reconciliation

- Contract management

- Site problem solving and response (technical, legal etc)

- Maintaining annual reporting calendar and managing independent auditors

- Identification and implementation of site optimisation opportunities

- Work with Commercial Analyst to produce regular operational reports

- Reviewing site operational budgets with finance

- Support any refinancing processes (including managing Due Diligence processes and data rooms)

- Working alongside Business Development through acquisition process of new assets

- Support procurement and negotiations of contracts with service providers

- Visiting sites

- HSEQ management and compliance

- ESG reporting

- Ensuring regulatory compliance

 

Senior Asset Manager Key Requirements:

- Asset Management or related O&M experience

- Experience in the renewable energy sector (Solar PV, Onshore Wind, Battery Storage, BioEnergies, T&D Assets)

- Technical understanding of renewable energy technologies

- Commercial awareness

- Risk management

- People management

- Ability to manage a large portfolio from a technical and commercial perspective, establishing key relationships with clients, suppliers and O&M

- Fluent in English (additional European languages beneficial)
