Salary: Competitive day rate depending on experience
Contract length: 12–18 month contracts
Mint Selection is seeking experienced Power Systems Engineers for contract opportunities supporting renewable energy and transmission infrastructure projects. These roles will focus on the analysis, design, and optimisation of electrical power networks across renewable energy generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out power systems studies including load flow, short circuit, and stability analysis
• Support grid connection studies for renewable energy projects and power infrastructure
• Develop and validate power system models using industry software tools
• Assess network performance, reliability, and grid code compliance
• Support planning, protection, and control activities across projects
• Coordinate with engineering and project delivery teams
Experience & Qualifications:
• Previous power systems engineering experience within utilities, transmission, or renewable energy sectors
• Understanding of UK Grid Code requirements and network analysis activities
• Experience using industry software such as PSCAD, DIgSILENT, or PSS®E preferred
• Strong analytical and technical reporting skills
• Relevant electrical engineering qualifications required
