Lead Hydrogen Engineer sought to join Independent Power Producer who develop, own and operate flexible energy infrastructure assets in BESS, Hydrogen, Gas Peaking and more across the UK. The successful Lead Hydrogen Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing hydrogen electrolysis and hydrogen thermal combustion plant design, implementation, operational support and optimisation across the business, from inception to operation, on a portfolio of hydrogen electrolysis and hydrogen thermal combustion projects.
You will work closely with the Hydrogen Director, Project Development and Project Management teams and report directly to the Engineering Director.
Lead Hydrogen Engineer Key Responsibilities:
-10+ years experience within a process environment, with experience in hydrogen electrolysis plant design and electrolyser technology
-Excellent knowledge of electrolyser technology and electrolysis plant design and construction
-Understanding of safety and legislative requirements of hydrogen plants
-Experience in participation of safety studies relating to hydrogen plants, including HAZOPs and functional safety studies to IEC61511 and IEC61508.
